Just 6” length heel to toe, Beautifully made with embroidered silk and delicate fringe decoration on a red stiffened fabric body. The embroidery of smallest and finest, rivaling the “forbidden stitch: which is said to have blinded the sewers. Quilted soles meant to be viewed as the lady reclined. The outer is in perfect preservation with slightest wear to the upper edge. Inners slightly soiled from handling. The owner was unable to walk and they were worn when seated in the belief that being incapacitated as such, indicating the owner's superiority by dedication to idleness.
