10th century AD. Gilt bronze, over 1 1/4" diameter, in a radial array of twelve points flanked by scallops. An adaption of the Roman Wheel of Fortune, as it was incorporated into Viking pagan mythology. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored, on a modern gilt neck cord. Jewelry gift boxed with certification of authenticity. Rare form.
