Danelaw England. Finely forged iron, 4 1/4" length. Low medially ridged point with elegantly cusped base. The tapered socket with butted seam (small chips to base). Excellent excavated condition and professionally conserved. A flesh-cutting arrow from a Mediterranean village raid. Such raids relied on surprise and shock with the first victims randomly slaughtered to terrorize the remainder into submission and subsequent slavery. Nothing short of iconic.
