Flattened horn with line bordered edges. The spout carved as a monster head with thickened lip opened mouth and separate insert dark horn eyes. The neck as three deep rings. Horn base secured with wood pegs. Shows its age and use with some scaling to the surface toward the bottom and minor insect damage. 9 3/4" length. Type used in Colonial America and particularly associated with Pennsylvania.
