Would date about mid century, 1750-80. 72 5/8” length on hardwood haft (sound but showing its great age). Iron head of for typical for the period but delicately pierced in broad scroll and key motif. Surface with old stable brown rust texture.  Northern European, probably one of the small states which joined the German confederation in the 19th century. Type which served in the French and Indian wars, America Revolutionary as well as the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars.
