Period of the universal Christian conversion and the early Crusades. Size 9 1/4 with narrow (1.8mm) band flared shoulders. Lenticular bezel cut with a series of marks (worn) marks.  Used to impress the signature of the owner in wax or clay. Language differences and illiteracy were barriers to trade. Signets allowed for universal verification of a signature facilitating trade at distance. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity. Good wearable size.
