This example C.1770, the Revolutionary War period, and likely used right through the Napoleonic Wars. Floral decorated brass hilt with heavy gold overlay significantly preserved. Silver wire wrapped grip. 32 1/8” broad fullered blade with foliage and military motifs to the forte, shows frosty surface. Pivotal pattern in English/American/French history.
