Standard pattern with bronze (“brass”) hilt and 25” curved, narrow fullered blade with running fox mark of the Shotley Bridge sword makers. Pattern seldom encountered today. Notably this sword is without militia markings such as M Lincoln, for the Lincolnshire militia) as frequently encountered, indicative of English militias, which did not serve in North America. Only swords without those markings such as this may be considered American Revolutionary
