4 3/4" dia. Gold rim on tomato red body. The cover finely decorated with aquatic foliage and seashells under water. The lip of the bowl with shells and sand on the beach with Fuji beyond. All in various shades of gold with fine definition and build up of lacquer layers producing a relief effect. Motifs exactly as found on sword guards of the period. Fine quality reserved for samurai and daimyou class. Excellent.
