Late 19th century. Maasai or Kikuyu. 25 5/8” length. Finely forged with tapered butted seam octagonal faceted socket al thin leaf shaped point beveled to the sharp edges. Light original tool finish with fine rich patina. Hunting spear points were much heavier. This blade is made for flesh cutting and parrying in battle, specifically to kill an enemy warrior.
