Roman, 3rd-5th century AD. Buff terra cotta, 2 7/8" length with foliate tendrils to the shoulders. Thumb nub to the back. Raised edge filler and Christian cross enclosed with the raised top edge. Clean and quite crisp with mottled surface with slight soil adhesion. Dating to the period of acceptance of Christianity and the fall of the Roman Empire.
