1950‘s Cape Cod find. “Tin” construction, 5” x 5” x 10 ¾”. 16 ½” overall height. The product of a colonial or Federal tinsmith, these were used from the 17th century until the availability of whale oil until in the 1830’s. This example untouched, surface rusted but sound and with an original candle intact.
