DR. WALL WORCESTER TEA BOWL

C.1770-80 made for the export market, primarily America as Continental Europe was supplied by German and Dutch producers. Diminutive size as tea was an expensive luxury kept in locked boxes. 2 5/8" diameter on flared foot. Rich cobalt blue on white decoration of Chinese inspiration including large scale foliage with a fence and island with house and birds flying above. These were decorated by artists whose names will never be known, however, the quality varies and this example is of the first order of quality and excellent and better condition.
