13 5/8" with double narrow fullers at the forte and triple medial fullers flanked by broad fuller etched with false Damascus patterning below the upper segment, blade etched in scrolling foliage flanked by false Damascus. Silver mounted horn hilt with triple niello decorated bosses. Chiseled and nielloed panels of foliage to the top and bottom. Broad silver tang band chiseled and nielloed in foliage and abstract motifs. Horn shows slight grain opening from age. Silver mounts complete and excellent. Blade crisp with gray patina to the edges. Transitional example portending the turn of the century examples most often found.
