Large example, just under 1 1/2” height of native base silver with characteristic quaint charm. Highly stylized with a symmetrical cross enclosing a diamond in a square. The beam terminals with nubs inscribed with saltires.  Christianity in Ethiopia is traceable to the first century, the time of Christ, and the persecution of Christians. The New Testament (Acts8:26-36) records Philip the Evangelist’s conversion of an Ethiopian court official in the first century.  Wonderful genuine age character, suspended from a modern black buff leather neck cord.
