Lake Superior Basin, over 1 ¾” length. Copper Culture Indians mined in the Keweenaw Peninsula and Isle Royale. Surviving artifacts include weapons, tools and beads, however, any in private hands are quite rare. Dating 7000-1000 BC, are from a small group of Copper Culture Indian artifacts from the Indian Ridge Museum, Elyria, Ohio, ex. Col. Raymond Vietzen collection. Forged from a natural copper deposit to a square section and tapered from the middle. Originally mounted in a natural wood shaft and capable of inflicting a mortal wound to small to medium size animal.
