Methodist Missionary Society Collection. 43” length with large leaf shape point on a tapered bolster and conical socket. Tapered wood haft with faceted swell and trade iron tape wrap. Tapered terminal for an iron base piece, no longer with it. Shows great age throughout. The collection toured churched in England to collect money to support the Missions. The program was discontinued in the 1930s and the collection sold at Christie's in London in the 1980s.
