1 3/8” diameter, made from hand formed wax core, noticeably irregular, probably cast at Catherine Furnace, Newport Virginia, which had been reactivated for the War. The week long battle in 1863 was notable for, among other things, the effect of Confederate artillery on May 2 at Hazel Grove.
