COLONIAL AMERICAN PEWTER SPOON

$175.00
Sometimes referred to as “Pilgrim spoons” and dating to the Pilgrim era and just after. This example is 6 7/8” long with oval bowl and rectangular section handle which transitions to the bowl as a rib. In excellent condition and notably, our research showed that these, when offered by respected dealers, were consistently in matching excellent condition. Perhaps they were used only occasionally or with wood bowls. This example comes from the advanced collection which also provided much of our fine smallsword stock.
