Iron, skillfully made and extensively used. Spade shaped reservoir with hinged lid and internal wick holder. Curved suspension bar. Exactly as found about 1950 with surface rust, the end of the reservoir cover eroded, crack below the spout and impacted material below the wick holder. A New England find exactly as it was when it was extracted from a Boston Attic, where it sat for two centuries.
