Ex: Schindler’s Antiques, King Street, Charleston, purchased about 1980. Silver alloy/white metal, size 7 1/2 with raised bezel set with a red glass “stone”. Quite primitively fashioned suggesting a Confederate origin. It was common for cavalry troopers to remove their rings before battle as they marginally compromised the purchase of the sword grip.
