Silvered bronze, over 1/2” (0.60”) height plus the loop. Cast with transverse and beaded bands decoration by the lost wax process. The plain form as our item A1419 are generally acknowledged as exchange objects (money) and frequently are encountered with pieces chipped out.  This example was clearly was more important and likely made for an important votive (sacrificial) purpose. As with the plainer examples, the bell edge has had chips removed.  Found in Ireland, England (Scotland) and Western Europe. Very rarely encountered. Professionally refurbished with silver overlay on modern 18” Sterling silver neck chain. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
