Wood hilt and scabbard gracefully formed and decorated in geometric patterns and panels of scorpion and crocodile, all inlaid with white lime. The 13 ½” blade with tapered faceted bolster and of thick wedge section. As is common for Indonesian weapons, the blade is an heirloom, much older than the mounts. It’s likely that the blade has been remounted several times through the generations. Good large and very showy example.
