Standard pattern with 32” “dumbbell” section blade, etched first half with foliage, proof and crowned GR cipher. Plated hilt with wire wrapped leather covered grip. Original leather field scabbard lacks the last about 6” with wear to the leather. Artillery was particularly useful when fighting large numbers of infantry and cavalry as encountered in colonial battles, particularly India.
