Classic royal hunting lodge mount on hand carved Black Forest type wall mount. That style is also popularized on cuckoo clocks. The mount hand carved as thick oak branches with acorns. The base with a shield inscribed with KAMML 1899. Longest antler, 7 3/4" with the other broken short from the seasonal rut, identifying this animal as a 2 year old. Dating to the fall hunts in Northern Europe which filled the larders of royal and noble owners for the Winter. All game was the property of the noble class and commoners were not allowed to hunt. Wonderful old Europe charm.
