Iron hilt with double slotted guard. Brass wire wrapped ray skin grip (small loss at the heel). 29 3/4” slightly curved broad fullered blade with dedication at the forte: Ehre (honor) W T Flicht 1878-1898, commemorating his service upon retirement. Reverse with E JUNG, Vienna sword maker. Hilt shows most original plating with uniform smooth brown patina to the balance. Iron scabbard complete, with remnants of plating.
