Late 19th century. 57" length. Wood haft with three segments of hide wrap with the hair on (mostly perished). Leather bands for leather encasement, now lacking. About 60% of haft covering remaining. Forged iron head with repeated punch border. Conical butt mount, rusted with the tip eroded. Storage dry throughout. Untouched survivor of the slave trade.
