ANTIQUE TIBETAN FLAMING SWORD OF MANJUSHRI

$365.00

Manjushri is depicted as a male bodhisattva wielding a flaming sword in his right hand, representing the realization of transcendent wisdom which cuts down ignorance and duality. This example is 15 ½” length with iron blade mounted to the silver vajra with makara head and flaming tip. Early example, perhaps as early as the 17th century, of an important and rarely encountered Lamist Buddhist ritual instrument.
