22 5/8” diameter of low domed form with fine forward rolled edges. Impressive 7 pounds, 8-ounce weight. The surface with a light concentric circle pattern. Reverse with leather enarmes of proper fist and forearm size. Accurate size, weight, construction, and fittings for a German shield of 1550-1600.  Surface mostly clean with gray patina. Some localized dark staining with minor pitting only.
