Revolutionary War period. 8 1/4" length, natural horn with ringed spout. Flat wood base secured with wood pins and small central knob. Excellent preservation with fine age character. These smaller horns were carried in or attached to the hunting bags. Depending on the task at hand, a rifleman might carry two or more horns of charging powder.
