18th-early 19th century. 10 ½” length to make four candles. Four tapered tubes with conical bottoms through which the wicks were threaded. Square reservoir top and matching bottom providing a stand. Well used with good character. Candles were used in the 17th and 18th centuries but were largely replaced by whale oil lamps by the early 19th century.
