Colonial period, New England. 1 ¼” height, white metal (pewter or zinc) in the form of an opened heart with the English crown above. Cast in high relief with medial ridge and crenulated borders each side. Made without a cross pin and probably suspended from the headdress. Excellent with light soil adherence from burial. These white metal ornaments are much rarer than their flat silver counterparts.
