Silvered bronze, about size 8 1/2 of oval form with stepped octagonal bezel and flared shoulders. Dating to the period of Christian conversion and the influences of western European culture. Professionally refurbished with the pure silver surface restored. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. The conversion was slow and many Viking pagan beliefs and practices were blended with Christianity. Vikings fought valiantly and instrumentally in the First Crusade!
