JAPANESE CONCEALED SWORD BATON

Meiji period, late 19th- early 20th century. 22 1/8" length, black lacquer over spiral wire wrap. White metal pommel and tip mount. Matching mounts at the separation point.  Concealed 14 7/8" wedge section blade, slightly tapered through its length with samurai sword form tip. Blade shows gray patina and light tool finish with a little wear. Exterior with expected wear form use.
