China, western Asia, 11th-12th century. Forged iron, 4 5/8” total length, and just over 1 3/8” width with slightly curved cutting edges and deeply cusped base. Arrows of this size were effective flesh cutters and could bring a horse down whereas a smaller point produced a wound with which the animal could suffer for some distance before falling.
