COLONIAL AMERICAN CANDLE SNUFFER

Finely forged construction throughout. Iron 7” length, scissor form with central balusters to the shanks and scroll tip finger loops. Semicircular pan with corresponding top which would trim the candle while snuffing it out with minimal residual smoke. See Collector’s Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution, Neumann, p.178 #20 for a near identical example. A tribute to the smith’s skills!
