7 3/8” broad wedge section single-edged blade marked VIVA ELS…I M I (?). Laminated brass guard, the forward quillon constructed with a cross pin connecting the sides, evidently to accommodate a wrist loop to prevent losing the knife if dislodged from the hand. Grip of elongated Albacete form with alternate brass and horn or tortoise segments. Wear consistent with its age and use.
