From a well known group made in Albacete. 10” elongated, medially ridged, leaf shaped blade, iron cross guard and barrel form bone grip incised with triple lines to the front and flanked by conical brass mounts. See Armas Blancas en España, Rubio pl.11 right for a near identical example. Highly regarded and used throughout Spain, these are particularly associated with Basque Resistance during Spain alliance with Napoleon, 1803-08. Large for these.
