Fine heavy early blade, 13 7/8" length, diamond section with elaborately figured forte, showing linear and curvilinear pattern welded construction. Well carved grip of abstracted form with deeply incised demon faces to the underside. Wood scabbard with large elegantly formed throat mount. The stem encased in floral embossed silver. The tip crushed. Throat mount with an old pin repair and crack. Hilt excellent. Blade with some minor oxidation but crisp and superior quality.
