Late 19th early 20th century, the period of French and Spanish colonization (protectorates) and Ottoman influence. 10 1/8” curved wedge section blade. The left side with serpentine engraving and brass band inlay. Recurved iron guard. Wood hilt and scabbard with white metal wire work and red pigment inlays. Faceted brass base ferrule to the grip. Quite crisp with minor staining to the tool finished blade.
