C.500-800 AD. Forged iron, 6 7/8” length. Characteristic profile, curved with slightly upturned point, in elongated form. Angled base for mounting without a guard into an antler or bone grip. The blade shows bimetal construction with an iron back (body) and hardened edge. Fully developed cut and thrust form.
