CENTRAL SUMATRA EXECUTIONER’S KRIS

$515.00

11” straight blade of a rounded section, well patterned with linear patterning mixed with oxidation. Well figured hardwood grip of Garuda in bowing posture with swelled horn base. Two piece wood scabbard, well figured with some light encrustation to the throat terminals. While these are difficult to date, this example is likely the 15th-17th century. Used for executions by thrusting between the shoulder blades and into the heart. The victim was required to kneel and bound for the thrust.
