With fine watered steel 9 1/2” curved d.e blade. Iron hilt and scabbard decorated in panels and bands of stylized foliage in silver koftgari with uniform light surface as expected for the period. Fine thick blade with ridged forte chiseled with a tiger atop a bull, each side. The ridge running out as a raised medial. Thickened edges extending down the blade for about an inch. The entire balance of the blade displaying a fine needle Damascus pattern throughout, both edges in good contrast. Remnants of old preservative along each end. One of the finest blades for a dagger of this type that we have ever encountered.
