Iron folding knife with thick bull nose wedge section blade specifically designed to cut rope and cords yet minimally functional as a weapon. 4” length with the axel intact. Florida find from Caribbean service. Dating to the treasure ship traffic of the Spanish Main when many if not most sailors were serving against their will. Crews were multi ethnical with many criminals among them. Blunted knives only were allowed crew, to avoid fights and mutinies.
