Cambridgeshire England. Forged iron, 10 ¾” length straight measure. Thick curved wedge section blade, the back thickened at the forte. Broad tapered tang. Every Viking home had a house garden for herbs and vegetables. Sickles such as this were used to maintain and harvest those gardens. The Frostathing Law, one of Norway’s oldest law states, "If one man goes in another man's onion garden or angelica garden, then he is lawless." Excavated and professionally conserved.
