$155.00

Forged iron, 5 7/8” (5.92") length. Elegant wedge section blade designed for slashing and thrusting in hand to hand combat with slightly arched back and upturned point. Originally mounted with a wood or antler grip and no guard, its size and light weight gave it an advantage over the heavier scramasax. Because of Vikings’ dependence on them, their weapons were imbued with spiritual significance. They were buried with their owners as part of the funerary process. Excavated and professionally conserved with Plexiglas display easel and Certificate of Authenticity.
