5 1/8” wedge section blade of dramatically dropped point form. The back with bordered bans of small crescents. The back with a loop for lanyard. Localized rusting as shown and typical for use at sea. One piece bone grip with decorative staining simulating cow horn. Dramatic early form. Likely the knife of a pirate as sailors were not allowed to own lethal knives, for fear of mutiny. See other examples on this site recovered in Florida from pirate activity.
