.50 cal, round ball, which, allowing for the patch, could accommodate the long rifles which were produced in calibers of about .50 and up.  6” length, hand forged with the use of forms and molds as was the practice in the 18th century. One grip terminal of spatulate form to serve as a screwdriver and the other with V groove and angled to pull tacks (?). Old stabilized rust overall. See Collector’s Encyclopedia of the American Revolution, Neumann p.192 and The Book of the Continental Soldier, Peterson, p.75.
