Bone hilt lancet as used before and through the Civil War, the base marked AUG KNECHT SOLINGEN, well established by the Civil War period. The globe mark on this example was registered in 1895, but probably used long before that. 6 5/8” long with flattened section bone grip and extended lancet blade. Minor wear from use.
