CELTIC SIDE KNIFE C.400-100BC

$425.00

Forged iron, 8 ¼” in length, With a very thin fighting section blade. Tapered tang which originally mounted a wood or bone grip, now perished. Bronze baluster form pommel. The thinness of the blade identifies this example as strictly a fighting weapon as neither the strength for heavy work nor the volume to withstand the threepeated sharpening of a work knife.
